Lincoln National Forest.  The Lincoln National Forest is actually a beehive of activities. The park has everything you’d want in a park: camping space and picnic areas, especially for those who choose to stay overnight. Hikers and bikers will love it here, as there are many different trails of various length scattered all over the park. Also, other activities like horseback riding and rock climbing are also popular in Lincoln National Forest. Is a forest complete without the wild animals? I don’t think so. The wildlife here is really impressive and has a good collection of interesting animals including bears. Overall, the views all around the Lincoln National Forest is simply breathtaking, and not one you’d want to miss.

Visit The Lake for Water Activities.  Despite the town being named after the Rio Ruidoso, the river isn’t the go-to destination for water fun. In Ruidoso, the lakes are something else entirely. Perhaps, it has something to do to the mountainous nature of the region. There are several lakes in Ruidoso and each has its own appeal. Grindstone Lake is the swimmers favorite, the kids would love Alto Lake, which has fine sand for them to play with and hunt for little fishes scattered around. Kayaking is a popular water sport in Mescalero Lake while the Alpine Lakes with their crystal clear and characteristic color is everyone’s favorite.

Visit The Inns of Mountain Gods. Sounds like the title of a movie, that’s how you know it’s going to be epic! The Inns of Mountain Gods is where the glitz and glamor is. There is a lot of fun and attractions here to keep visitors engaged. Notable Resorts and Casino abound, offering comfort and gaming in equal measure. There are exquisite restaurants offering both local and foreign delicacies. There are also golf, music, and comedy to cater for other interests. The Inn of Mountain Gods is just a great place to socialize and enjoy the lot Ruidoso has to offer.

Revel in Ruidoso Wildlife. The plethora of mountains and beautiful flora already makes Ruidoso a great sight-seeing vacation destination.
